OVERVIEW

MALAYSIAN VISAS CAN BE CATEGORIZED IN TWO BROAD CATEGORIES NAMELY;


VTR:
visa without reference

VDR: visa with reference.

Visa without reference is visa approved by the High Commission of Malaysia for social, tourist or business visits.

Visa with reference is approved by the Immigration Department of Malaysia or the Ministry of Home Affairs for the purpose of working, studying or social visits for a stay more than the allowed period under visa without reference.

The following category has to apply for VDR in order to enter Malaysia.

Employment pass- Expatriate
Dependent pass- Family member who come as a dependent
Social Visit Pass- (Temporary Employment) [ PL (KS) ]
Student pass
Professional Visit Pass (Plik)

Mentioned below are the Various categories of visa for Malaysia.

VOA ( VISA ON ARRIVAL)
visa on arrival (VOA) facility is available for Indian nationals, provided they have a valid visa and are travelling to either Singapore or Thailand. This VOA is only for a stay of maximum of 7 days in Malaysia. The visa fee payable at the Malaysian airport is USD 100 per person and they must show they have atleast USD 1000 cash on them to cover their cost of stay there. Further, this facility is only for pax travelling by air into Malaysia.

E VISA FOR PAN INDIA PASSPORTS
There are 2 types of E visa application for Malaysia. Both visa details are given below. Kindly contact our offices for visa fees amount for both the categories.

1) eVISA: E visa is valid for 3 months. Applicants can apply for Multiple entry eVISA from 1st of Aug 2017. E visa holder can stay for a maximum of 30 days in Malaysia.

We can apply for Malaysian evisa for PAN India issued passports, irrespective of the place of issue. Documents required for E visa are as follows. (A) Photo as per specifications {only in jpg format; not less than 100 KB and not more than 2 MB} (B) Confirm return air tickets.( C) Passport first and last page copy. (D) If child ( born after the calendar year 2005, travelling with/ without parents, birth Certificate is a must (E) Passport validity 9 months. (F) Hotel confirmation voucher with all passengers name on it is Mandatory. It should be in “pdf” format. (G) If Air ticket is BOM-SIN-BOM then, also send self declaration mentioning the detailed itinerary with applicants signature on it. This has to be in “jpg” format.
Immigration department can ask for more supportive documents, depending on the case.

Following documents needed at the Immigration Check Point in Malaysia
1) Sufficient funds to support the cost of stay ( Credit card, cash, TC)
2) Confirm return air tickets out of Malaysia
3) Proof of accommodation during the stay

First working day is applicable from 8.00 am until 5.00 pm, if the submission is later than 5.00 pm, your application will be processed on the next working day. It does not include weekends, public holidays, Malaysian holidays and INDIA event holidays.

This visa application is subject to approval by the Malaysian Immigration. Applicants might be required to furnish further documents or may be interviewed online via Skype. E visa can also be rejected if they are not satisfied with the passengers profile. In that case, we can apply from the Malaysian Consulate in case of rejection with all the necessary documents mentioned on the Tourist visa category of this page.

2) eNTRI Visa: Electronic Travel Registration and Information ( This facility is available for Indian Nationals from 1 Apr 2017 till 31 Mar 2018)

An eNTRI holder is entitled to a 15 days stay in Malaysia. eNTRI is not a visa but a note before visa approval. Visa will be made available at the Immigration Point in Malaysia.

eNTRI facility is applicable for passengers entering Malaysia directly from India, Singapore, Thailand and Brunei only. They should also have a return ticket to the above 4 Countries. Applicants traveling on a direct flight from India, Singapore, Thailand or Brunei can only travel on this visa. Pax going onward to any Country not mentioned above cannot avail of this visa facility.

In case you want a multiple entry visa, then you will have to apply at the consulate in Mumbai. Application Process is mentioned below.

TOURIST VISA :


(3 COMPLETE BLANK PAGES ON THE PASSPORT. PASSPORT VALIDITY SHOULD BE 6 MONTHS FROM DATE OF TRAVEL. FOR APPLICANTS WHO HAVE NOT TRAVELLED ON MALAYSIA VISA ISSUED BEFORE, THEY MUST ATTACH A LETTER STATING REASON FOR FAILING TO TRAVEL. FAILURE TO DO SO WILL RISK REJECTION OF VISA)


  • 1 Form
  • 2 Photos ( White b/g 3.5 cm x 5 cm, white background, 70% face visibility, clicked within the last 3 months, photograph clearly shows crown to shoulders, matt or semi matt finish , camera clicked only)
  • Original air tickets
  • Passport valid for 6 months from the date of travel with 3 blank pages
  • If first entry as per the tickets is in Singapore , then the visa copy of Singapore should be attached at the time of application, without which visa will not be granted.
  • Original covering letter on letter head is a must for all cases.
  • 3 months latest bank statement certified by the bank with Minimum Rs. 30000/- (Individual) closing balance and Rs. 60000/- (Family) balance must have in account. If wife’s passport is on the maiden name and there is no marriage certificate then wife bank statement as per the above clause is also required.
  • If a person has not traveled before anywhere (i.e. blank passport), then Original bank statement with bank stamp and sign AND MINIMUM CLOSING BALANCE OF RS. 50000/- PER PERSON is a must. If wife’s passport is on the maiden name and there is no marriage certificate then wife bank statement as per the above clause is also required.The same applies to person travelling with family (in case of blank passport). If retired, covering letter on plain paper and bank statement is must. If husband has traveled before but not his wife, then also bank statement is compulsory. If husband or wife has traveled before but not their child, then bank statement of the head of the family is required. This is only if the child (male or female) is more than 18 years.
  • Passports which are not issued from Maharashtra/ Madhya Pradesh/Gujarat/Goa needs to submit two stay proofs of their residence as per the below mentioned list:1. Lease and License Agreement2. Last three month updated bank statement3. Address proof in the Companies letter head (Original) if the Company has provided accommodation.4. Marriage Certificate

    5. Aadhar Card.( copy both side)

    6. Society Letter.

BUSINESS VISA :

SUBMISSION / COLLECTION / FEES


Sub : 1000 hrs to 1200 hrs. ( Mon – Friday)

Fees : Fees for visa application at the Malaysian Consulate in Mumbai:
Rs. 1000/- Visa Fees payable by demand draft in the name of “Consulate General of Malaysia, Mumbai” Plus Rs.4720/- OSC* Charges payable by demand draft in the name of ” OSC Global Processing Pvt Ltd” ( Rs. 5720/- per application )

*OSC: One Stop Centre (Malaysian Entity)

With effect from 04 May 2015, all future workers going to Malaysia will have to enroll their bio metrics and get the immigration security clearance certificate from VFS which is mandate for submitting the application for work permit to Malaysian Government.

On the receipt of the VDR letter from the Malaysian Government, the application can be submitted for visa processing. The Service Charge for the bio metric enrollment can be paid as cash only and the receipt for the same will be issued.
